  • The Downfield Place Residence

    Sit back and relax, at The Downfield Place Residence. Sleeping up to 4 guests in style and located less than a mile from the city centre, this charming apartment is the perfect pied-à-terre for your next city break.

    Light and airy with comfy seating, Smart TV, WiFi, and dining table, the open plan living area offers a great space for planning your day’s adventure. The large window overlooks the very well maintained shared garden, which guests have full access to. The adjoining kitchen is fully fitted with everything you need in a home from home, including a washing machine.

    The spacious master bedroom welcomes you to a peaceful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring Edinburgh. A further double sofabed is situated in the living room. A shower room and separate WC complete this delightful holiday home.

    The Downfield Place Residence is located just a few minutes from Murrayfield Stadium and the west end, and is well connected to the rest of Edinburgh. The New Town, home to the city’s best shopping and National Galleries, starts at Princes Street, just one mile from the apartment. When it’s time for something a little more medieval why not explore the Old Town, famous for the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle.

    If you fancy taking the bus, or want to explore further afield, there’s a stop just around the corner on Dalry Road, serviced by Lothian Buses with routes covering the whole of Edinburgh. Haymarket train station is half a mile away, as well as stops for both the Tram and Airlink bus, taking you to and from Edinburgh Airport.

    The immediate local area has a fantastic host of amenities, including several supermarkets, pubs and restaurants, and coffee shops. Five minutes from the apartment is Fountain Park, a rainy-day paradise home to a Cineworld, bowling, trampoline park and national family-favourite restaurants.

    This property operates a key safe, so you can let yourself in to the property any time after 4pm. The key safe code will be issued before your arrival.

    If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.

    The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

    A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.

    All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

The Lauderdale Street Residence delights the senses with bright and intriguing décor laced throughout, whilst retaining a touch of the traditional in features such as stained glass windows, fireplaces, ceiling cornicing, and stripped wooden floors.

    The Lauderdale Street Residence is located in Marchmont, a laid back and friendly area just a ten minute walk from the Old Town. Just around the corner from the apartment on Marchmont Road are plenty of independent cafes and shops as well as a good sized Sainsbury's local for grocery shopping. The Meadows, one of Edinburgh's most loved parks, is a few minutes stroll away and perfect for a picnic or morning jog. If you're staying during the Festival and Fringe, then George Square, Underbelly and the Pleasance are all within a 20 minute walk.

    Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 19:00 may incur a late arrival fee of £30 for unsociable hours, arrivals after 10 pm will incur a fee of £50 and arrivals after midnight, a fee of £60. Earlier entry can perhaps be arranged but depends if there is a departure at your chosen apartment that day. This can be confirmed within 48 hours of arrival. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible.
