  • The Edmonstone's Close Residence (Edinburgh)

    Situated in a quiet Close just off the The Grassmarket is this delightful studio apartment. With all of the main attractions outside your door, you’re perfectly placed for a visit to Scotland’s capital. The Edmonstone’s Close Residence sleeps up to four guests, and is equipped with everything you need for your holiday.

    The lovely living space has been recently renovated, and features modern furnishing including cozy sofas, dining area, and modern art. If you can stay away from the local dining, the fully fitted kitchen is on hand to help you prepare your own culinary delights, and has all mod cons and appliances. A TV, DVD player and WiFi are all available for guests’ use. There is a communal courtyard, that can be accessed via a patio door in the living room.

    A kingsize bed and storage rest behind a clever partition, providing privacy from the main space. Guests should note that this is a studio property, and so the two areas are not completely separated. The sofa bed is intended to provide flexibility for sleeping arrangement, however the maximum occupancy must not exceed 2. A contemporary bathroom with shower over bath completes this truly delightful holiday apartment.

    This property doesn't come with free parking but there is limited paid street parking in local area for an additional fee. Alternatively, there is private parking facilities available at the NCP Car Park on Castle Terrace

    This property operates a key safe, so you can let yourself into the property any time after 4pm. The key safe code will be issued before your arrival.

    If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.

    The latest departure time is 10:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

    A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.

    All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

Situated on Lothian Road, all of Edinburgh's main attractions are just a few minutes' walk away, including Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, Grassmarket and The Old Town. The immediate area is filled with bars, restaurants, grocery stores and coffee shops, and Lothian Road is a main artery for buses running to all areas within the city. Haymarket and Waverley train stations are only 0.5 and 1 mile, respectively, and Edinburgh Airport is just 8 miles away. The nearest tram stop is on Shandwick Place, just a few minutes away at the end of Lothian Road.

    There are three gorgeous double bedrooms to choose from, with each one decorated in calming, neutral tones… this, along with traditional, wooden window shutters, ensures a peaceful night’s sleep. There’s plenty of room to stretch out, as two bedrooms boast super king size beds that benefit from the flexibility of a hotel style zip ‘n’ link which can be set up as twin beds on request.     Two newly installed, slick shower rooms with spacious walk-in showers, and one featuring a state-of-the art rainfall shower head, completes this wonderful holiday home.

    The apartment is well catered with the local Co-op and Sainsbury’s stores open till 11pm seven days a week within 2 minutes walking distance. And with just a one-minute walk to a bus stop with an extensive network of routes, you couldn’t be better placed to explore the city and beyond.

    The Meadows Park is just an easy 5-minute walk, with its terrific children’s playground and a vast open expanse of grassland and tree-lined paths - perfect for summer BBQs. Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat is also a short walk, providing an array of hills, lochs, and cliffs, offering a remarkably wild piece of landscape within its 650-acre area. Culture vultures will be kept happy being just a stone’s throw from The National Museum of Scotland. Fancy a pleasant amble? Edinburgh Castle and the historic Royal Mile are just over a mile away.

    The Old Bakery is a beautifully presented two-bedroom mews cottage with its own private entrance and tucked away in the quiet, ever-popular area of Dean Village and perfectly located to explore Edinburgh. Situated just ten minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Princes Street, you can enjoy the best of both worlds, as guests find the Dean Village, a beautiful oasis nestled close to the beautiful water of Leith.

    This stunning executive two-bedroom apartment boasts contemporary interiors and has been lovingly put together with personal touches throughout.     Just a short 10-minute walk, you can find Edinburgh's famous Princes Street with its spectacular castle views, beautiful gardens, and plenty of shopping opportunities. Alternatively, you can walk along George Street with its designer shops during the day (including Harvey Nichols Department Store) and at night its wide variety of stylish bars and restaurants.

    And you’ll be spoilt for choice for things to do in the local area… You can browse exhibitions in the Dean Gallery and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art (both practically on your doorstep), and enjoy a beautiful walk along the Water of Leith, close to the apartment. Here you'll find a cycle path too, with the route stretching for just over 12 miles from Balerno to Leith alongside the river. It's a flat path, ideal for cyclists looking for an easy ride, or walkers after a waterside stroll. Along the way, there are lots of pretty waterfalls and weirs with wildlife such as herons to look out for.

    The beloved area of Stockbridge is an easy walk from the apartment and well worth exploring. You'll uncover a treasure-trove of shops, quirky boutiques, independent restaurants and cafes - perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch and a great spot for people-watching.
