    Situated in a Victorian building Blair Street Scott is a superbly located apartment in the heart of the Old Town only 50 metres from the Royal Mile and offering a fantastic base to explore the amazing city of Edinburgh. This property shares a a private vestibule area with the Blair St Burns apartment next door and is therefore an excellent choice for larger groups or families who want to be close to each other.

    This bright , elegant self catering apartment is furnished and decorated to a high standard to make your stay as comfortable as possible and offers a host of contemporary and period features. Located opposite Mercat Tours and the Edinburgh Vaults (the underground chambers where Burke and Hare would find their victims). The apartment is on the lower ground floor of the building with a view of the street to the front and from the bedrooms at the back. On entering the building there are 4 steps up to the main door and then 8 stairs down to the apartment.

    The historic Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site boasting a wealth of charm and character. Main shopping and commercial thoroughfares are within walking distance and include high street retailers , fine restaurants and fashionable bars.
    The property is extremely well placed for the many famous historical places of interest including galleries, museums and theatres. Edinburgh castle is a short 400 metre walk up the Royal Mile which is a mere 50 metres from the flat. The Palace of Holyrood House and Scottish Parliament can be reached with a short walk downhill.
    The Grassmarket and Royal Mile offer a superb choice of specialty shops , restaurants, bars , coffee shops and boutiques. . A Sainsbury local and Tesco express are only 5 minutes away on North Bridge.
    A wide variety of bus services are available nearby and Waverley train station is a 5 minute walk.

    Access Arrangements

    A "meet and greet" service is operated , whereby you will be met at a property at a pre-arranged time to give access. Full instructions of this procedure can be found in the secure guest area after a booking has been completed. It is very important that an approximate arrival time is provided before arrival for this process. Entry is from 14:00 onwards but if nobody has booked to depart on your day of arrival it will probably be very suitable for us to give you entry as early as possible. Departure is by 10am (a guaranteed late departure up to 20:00 can be obtained for 50% of that daily rate. Please contact us if you want to utilise this facility and a price will be calculated).

    Please note that arrivals after 19:00 will incur a range of late arrival fee.

    **LATE ARRIVAL: fees, 19:00 - 22:30 - 15 pounds, 22:31 - 00:00 - 30 pounds and 00:01 - 02:00 - 50 pounds. The latest access can be given is 02:00, otherwise it is given at 08:00 the next day. ESC accept no liability for any costs involved in alternative accommodation for this 6 hour period.


    A deposit of 25% is payable on booking and the outstanding balance of the rental price must be received 2 months prior to your arrival date. For bookings made less than eight weeks before your arrival date the whole rental price falls payable at the time of booking. Please note that a separate 200 pounds refundable key/security deposit must be provided prior to arrival. This is rescinded 2 days after departure.

    Our stylish holiday apartment has three spacious bedrooms. The master bedroom has a large, super comfortable king size bed and ensuite facilities. It’s decorated in warm brown tones with wooden bed frame, bedside table and wardrobe. The ensuite has a stylish walk-in rain shower, heated towel rails and a large wall mirror, ideal for getting ready.

    Next door, you’ll find the second bedroom with two single beds. Also decorated in warm brown tones, this room has lots of natural lighting and a window that looks onto the nearby neighbourhood. The third bedroom has one single bed.

    Both the second and third bedrooms share the family bathroom with bathtub for bathing the kids as well as a shower. There’s also heated towel rails and a large mirror in this bathroom. All linens and towels are provided.

    Located on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile, this holiday apartment has one of the best locations in the city. You cannot get more central. Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street and the National Museum are only a stone’s throw away, 550 meters to be exact. You can also easily walk to Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat. Along the Royal Mile, you’ll find a fantastic collection of restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques and traditional pubs.

    If you’re arriving by train, Waverley Station is only 350 metres from the flat. From here, you can also quickly catch the bus to the airport. Making it possible to enjoy your stay without having to worry about parking or taking public transport everywhere.

    Don’t be alarmed if you hear the lions roar when you check in at The Cruickshank Residence! Edinburgh Zoo, one of Auld Reekie’s most popular attractions, is just across the road but fear not, they have very sturdy enclosures… Sleeping up to five guests in style, this modern apartment with designated parking is perfect for your next city break.

    Prepare to be wowed as you step in to the spacious, open plan living and dining area with sleek, contemporary design. All of your entertainment needs are met, from the 50-inch Freeview TV with Blu-ray DVD player, to the board games and a large selection of DVDs. There’s also super-fast WiFi, complimentary to all of our guests. Over in the immaculate kitchen you’re met with everything you need to rustle up your own home cooked treats. There’s an oven and microwave, a large fridge and ample freezer space. Fancy letting someone else do the dirty work? No problem, the local area boasts of plenty of coffee shops and eateries so be sure to ask your property manager for some personal recommendations.

    The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and feature one king-size master bedroom with en suite shower room, one double bedroom, and one single bedroom. Guests are treated to a little slice of luxury, as the en suite and family bathroom (with shower over bath) both benefit from heated floors and towel rails. There’s plenty of storage throughout, including ottoman style beds to store your luggage, and a large utility cupboard with a washer/dryer, an iron and ironing board and a hairdryer.

    The final perk of this fantastic property, is a designated parking space and a secure lock up if you decide to bring or hire bikes for your visit.

    In terms of location, you are in the wonderful, leafy and historic area of Corstorphine. There’s plenty of information on Edinburgh and the local area in the apartment, including suggestions for walking tours taking in the 17th Century Forresters Dowers House and the Dovecot. A little more effort you can reach Clermiston Tower, a monument for Sir Walter Scott in the Corstorphine Hill Nature Reserve and from the walks and pathways you will have spectacular views of Edinburgh, the Firth of Forth and on a clear day see Glasgow at the end of the central belt.

    If you can peel yourself away from the local attractions, you’ll find yourself amidst Edinburgh’s famous medieval Old Town in no time. The bus stops practically at your door, and there are 3 main services that will drop you on Princes Street, George Street or take you over the North Bridges into the student quarter. That’s at least 6 services in one hour by the 26, the 31 and the 12. The buses to and from Edinburgh Airport, Waverley and Haymarket train stations, Glasgow and Stirling all stop outside the Zoo and there are numerous taxis on this main route. A short walk will take you to the tram stop at Balgreen and combined with your road routes to the motorways and ring road you can easily explore further afield.

    Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 19:00 may incur a late arrival fee of 15 pounds for unsociable hours. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.

    The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

    This wonderful two bedroom apartment is in a fantastic location, and comes complete with secure parking.

    This 4th floor property (with lift) has been expertly furnished, offering luxury and comfort for your stay. The living room provides plenty of space to relax after a busy day exploring Edinburgh, as well as offering a dining area for a delicious meal with friends or family. There is a flat screen TV in the living room, and wifi is provided throughout the apartment.

    The kitchen is fully-equipped, including a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave.

    Bedroom 1 features a double bed, and an en-suite shower room with toilet and basin. In bedroom 2 you will find a double bed. Both bedrooms have plentiful guest storage. There is also a main bathroom with a bath and shower over, toilet and basin.

    The location is ideal. You’ll be staying at the base of Holyrood Park, with Holyrood Palace (the Queen’s official residence in Scotland) and the Royal Mile just minutes away from the front door.
