    Cabins in the City won the final of the Scottish Design Awards Interior Design category in 2022. It was also a finalist in the UK's Architects Journal Awards, as well as in three categories in the Dezeen Global Design Awards, and received a commendation in the Edinburgh Architectural Awards.

    - Booking requirements -
    One member of the booking party must be over 25 years. We require names and ages of all guests, as well as proof of address and ID of the lead guest. This is required within 2 days of booking.
    We will require the lead guest to sign a copy of our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to vet any booking.

    Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG, the digital trust platform that enables Hosts, Operators and Guests to confidently transact in the short-term rentals space.

  • The Brunswick Street Residence

    The Brunswick Street Residence is a fabulous apartment, accommodating up to 8 guests in the city centre. This newly renovated property is light and airy, with thoughtful design and modern furnishing. Leith, the New Town and the Old Town are a short walk away, giving you great access to Edinburgh's best sights.

    This split level property has the main living areas and one bedroom downstairs, and two bedrooms upstairs.

    Put your feet up in the spacious lounge, with comfy sofas, flatscreen TV with DVD Player, iPod dock and even a wood burning stove. The contemporary kitchen diner is at hand for some home cooking, with all mod cons and a large dining table.

    The three, large bedrooms all offer the ultimate flexibility, with zip and link beds that can set up at twin or double beds. Two modern bathrooms – one with large shower cubicle, one with shower over bath – complete this delightful home from home.

    Please note we do not provide hypoallergenic bedding at our properties.

    This apartment is on the 3rd floor without lift.

    This property is best suited to families, or considerate groups. Hen, stag or party groups should not book and will not be given access to the apartment.

    This property doesn't come with free parking but there is paid street parking in the local area for an additional fee. Private parking facilities are available the Omni Q-Park car park.

    This property operates a key safe, so you can let yourself into the property any time after 4pm. The key safe code will be issued before your arrival.

    Please note, if you require the sofa bed to be made up and have not booked for the maximum number of guest, there will be an additional charge.

    Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards. Earlier entry can perhaps be arranged but depends if there is a departure at your chosen apartment that day. This can be confirmed within 48 hours of arrival. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.

    The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

    A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.

    All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

The large, flat screen TV and unlimited WiFi should keep you entertained until dinner, at which point why not take advantage of this fantastic location and explore some of the many restaurants and bars on Lothian Road below? If you’ve got the energy and enthusiasm, the fully fitted kitchen is perfectly equipped to help you rustle up your own culinary delights - perhaps using some delicious ingredients from the Castle Terrace Farmers’ Market, running just around the corner every Saturday.

    Three double bedrooms are decorated in minimalist design to help you switch off and dream the night away. A family bathroom with shower over bath, and separate WC complete this lovely home from home.

    In terms of location, this superb apartment could not do any better. Situated on Lothian Road, all of Edinburgh's main attractions are just a few minutes' walk away, including Edinburgh Castle, The Royal Mile, Grassmarket and The Old Town. The immediate area is filled with bars, restaurants, grocery stores and coffee shops, and Lothian Road is a main artery for buses running to all areas within the city. Haymarket and Waverley train stations are only 0.5 and 1 mile, respectively, and Edinburgh Airport is just 8 miles away. The nearest tram stop is on Shandwick Place, just a few minutes away at the end of Lothian Road.

    This property doesn't come with free parking but there is limited paid street parking in local area for an additional fee. The nearest private car park is the NCP on Castle Terrace

    The living room, decorated in stylish tones, is generous in size and displays a beautiful bay window, original fireplace and comes complete with a large flat screen TV and unlimited complimentary WiFi. A dining table allows for a sophisticated sit-down occasion for six guests.

    Full of light, the spacious, contemporary kitchen offers a more relaxed dining experience, and is well equipped with a washing machine, dryer, oven, hob, microwave and plenty of cutlery and crockery for those wishing to dine in…though with so much choice on your doorstep we are willing to bet that most will succumb to the temptation of trying a different restaurant every night.

    There are three gorgeous double bedrooms to choose from, with each one decorated in calming, neutral tones… this, along with traditional, wooden window shutters, ensures a peaceful night’s sleep. There’s plenty of room to stretch out, as two bedrooms boast super king size beds that benefit from the flexibility of a hotel style zip ‘n’ link which can be set up as twin beds on request. The third bedroom has a double bed.

    The Meadows Park is just an easy 5-minute walk, with its terrific children’s playground and a vast open expanse of grassland and tree-lined paths - perfect for summer BBQs. Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat is also a short walk, providing an array of hills, lochs, and cliffs, offering a remarkably wild piece of landscape within its 650-acre area. Culture vultures will be kept happy being just a stone’s throw from The National Museum of Scotland. Fancy a pleasant amble? Edinburgh Castle and the historic Royal Mile are just over a mile away.
