    Prepare to be charmed at The Lauderdale Street Residence. Located in beautiful, leafy Marchmont, guests are treated to plenty of space in this truly delightful ground floor apartment. Sleeping up to four guests in style, this light and airy property is the perfect pied-à-terre for your next visit to Edinburgh. The Lauderdale Street Residence delights the senses with bright and intriguing décor laced throughout, whilst retaining a touch of the traditional in features such as stained glass windows, fireplaces, ceiling cornicing, and stripped wooden floors.

    Sit back and relax after a long day’s sightseeing in the large, light living room. Comfy chairs, artwork and a handpicked furnishings set the tone in this peaceful room. A Victorian bay window fills the room with sunshine, and allows guests to people-watch through the front terrace. Your electronic entertainment needs are met, too, with flat screen TV and DVD player, WiFi and CD player.

    Cook up a storm in the modern kitchen, which is very generously sized for an Edinburgh property. All the usual mod cons are ready and waiting to help you on your culinary endeavours, as well as a few luxury extras such as Kenwood mixer, a bread maker and a juicer. Up to four guests can dine at the dining table, whether it’s a quick croissant and coffee before another day in the city, or a more leisurely affair with a glass of wine.

    Moving in to the master bedroom, you’re spoilt with a king-size bed and oodles of space. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, and both bedrooms benefit from plentiful guest storage. A family bathroom completes this enchanting home from home.

    The Lauderdale Street Residence is located in Marchmont, a laid back and friendly area just a ten minute walk from the Old Town. Just around the corner from the apartment on Marchmont Road are plenty of independent cafes and shops as well as a good sized Sainsbury's local for grocery shopping. The Meadows, one of Edinburgh's most loved parks, is a few minutes stroll away and perfect for a picnic or morning jog. If you're staying during the Festival and Fringe, then George Square, Underbelly and the Pleasance are all within a 20 minute walk.

    This property doesn't come with free parking but there is limited paid street parking in local area for an additional fee.

    Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 19:00 may incur a late arrival fee of £30 for unsociable hours, arrivals after 10 pm will incur a fee of £50 and arrivals after midnight, a fee of £60. Earlier entry can perhaps be arranged but depends if there is a departure at your chosen apartment that day. This can be confirmed within 48 hours of arrival. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.

    A £200 refundable damage/security deposit is due 7 days before arrival, and refunded after departure.

    All properties are strictly non-smoking, and do not accept hen/stag/party groups. At least one guest must be over 25 years old.

    Please arrange your arrival with the property manager at least 24 hours before arrival.

    Check in is from 4pm, and check out is before 11am.

    The surrounding area is a truly unique development in the heart of Edinburgh's city centre. Named Quartermile as it is a quarter of a mile to Edinburgh Castle and also a quarter of a mile from corner to corner. It is a prestigious locale, home to a number of stylish bars, cafes and shops, with the meadows at its doorstep. Within the development itself lies A Sainsbury's, Starbucks coffee shop and Peters Yard, so you merely have to pop out of the front door to find yourself some great food or hot morning coffee. We also recommend that you take a stroll through the vast greenery in the heart of the city, or have a gander at the myriad of wonders in the National Museum of Scotland. If you’d like to check out the attractions of the Royal Mile and Princes Street, a mere ten-minute walk will lead you to both. If you’d like to venture further afield, there are bus stops located 100 metres from the property, serviced by the efficient Lothian Bus company. Edinburgh Waverley is also within walking distance, meaning you have the rest of Scotland at your fingertips to explore!

    This property doesn't come with free parking. Paid parking is available at Q-Park Quartermile located underneath the Quartermile Development.

    Alternatively, limited paid on street parking is available in George Square.

    A meet and greet service is provided, whereby you will be met at the property to be provided with keys and to be shown the property. Please arrange your arrival with the property manager.

    The latest departure time is 10:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.
