King’s Meadow was completely upgraded in 2011 and everything is brand new, so you know that your stay will be just right.

The 2nd floor apartment is clean, comfortable and furnished to a very high standard. Easily accessed from the A1 motorway and just over 2 miles (under 4km) from Edinburgh’s main railway station and the famous Royal mile in the Old Town, King’s Meadow provides a great base for your visit to Scotland’s capital city. You can leave the car in a private parking space and explore the Old and New Town.

For golfers, the Prestonfield and Duddingston courses are less than 5 minutes drive, while the excellent courses of East Lothian are a short drive away making King’s Meadow a good combination of golf and city break.

Lounge

Your modern, open plan lounge has everything you need to feel at home during your stay in Edinburgh. Put your feet up and watch the large flat screen TV or surf the web on our complimentary Wifi.

Master bedroom

The full size double bed in our Master Bedroom features quality pillows and a comfortable mattress. Large fitted wardrobes, with full length mirrors, give you lots of space for your stuff and ‘proper’ coat hangers will look after your clothes until you are ready to go out. There’s also a hair dryer and an iron and ironing board are also provided.

The master bedroom is furnished with a warm duvet, two bedside cabinets, four pillows, loads of cushions, twin lamps, an alarm clock, curtains and a chair.

Bedroom 2

The Twin bedroom has 2 single beds which are perfect for the kids or friends. Like the Master Bedroom, your twin has multiple pillows, cushions, curtains, twin lamps and a small oak bedside table. There’s also a small hanging rail with adult and child size hangers.

Kitchen

The Kitchen includes all the extrasCoffee and Croissants so you don’t have to worry about anything. There’s enough here to cook a full meal or just order a take-away and put it in the microwave if it needs heating up.

Tea, coffee and sugar are all provided and Sainsbury’s supermarket (open late most nights) is less than 5 minutes walk away, so you can stock up with anything you need.

Bathroom

The bathroom is clean and crisp with all new furniture, fresh white towels and complimentary soaps and gels from the Edinburgh Soap Company.

If you just need to be “in and out” the shower will do fine or, if you have time, run the bath and switch off for a longer soak. The bathroom is fully tiled and has plenty of hanging space for your towels.

Getting to the apartment from main rail station and airport bus drop off point there:

Either: Catch a taxi from the station rank to 7/5 Kings Meadow
Or: Catch Lothian Buses Number 14 or 30 services from North Bridge, by the station. Edinburgh bus fares are all £1.20 and you get off at Prestonfield Avenue. You can use the excellent service at http://www.mybustracker.co.uk/ to find out exactly when the next bus is due!
